Women's Tennis Advances to NWC Championship Match Against Whitman

RESULTS

WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team took down the Whitworth Pirates 5-2 on Friday afternoon to advance to the Northwest Conference Championship match. The Pioneers will now face hosts and No. 1 seed Whitman at 9 a.m. on Saturday for the conference title.  

Sophomore Gillian Lowe clinched the win for the Pioneers with a 6-3, 6-4 win from the No. 4 singles spot, helping the Pios take all four singles points. Freshman Aurora Garrison won from the No. 1 spot, taking down Saryn Mooney 6-1, 6-2. Olivia Cornell cruised to a win at the No. 2 spot, winning 6-2, 6-1, while Claudia Lew picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3. 

Senior Izzy Borris and sophomore Lisa Osepyan earned the teams only double point, taking down their opponents 8-4 from the No. 3 position.
