Women's Tennis Earns Fourth Straight Win

RESULTS

TACOMA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team earned its fourth straight win of the season on Saturday night, taking down the Puget Sound Loggers 9-0 in Northwest Conference action. 

Aurora Garrison made quick work of her opponent from the No. 1 singles spot, earning an easy 6-2, 6-1 win. Olivia Cornell pushed her way to victory in a similar manner to Garrison, collecting a 6-3, 6-2 win in the No. 2 spot.

Claudia Lew did battle from the No. 3 singles position, collecting a hard fought 7-5 win in the first set before collecting a 6-4 win in the second. Gillian Lowe earned a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 4 position, while Lisa Osepyan collected a 6-3, 6-0 win from the No. 5 spot.

Izzy Borris rounded out the Pioneers singles points with a 6-3 win over Malia Ford from No. 6 singles, before battling to a 7-6 win in the closing set.

In doubles action, Garrison and Lowe teamed up to earn an 8-2 win from the No. 1 position, while Lew and Cornell picked up a win by the same score from No. 2 doubles. Osepyan and Borris earned the Pioneers final point for the clean sweep with an 8-4 win in the No. 3 spot. 

The Pioneers take the court on Sunday, March 10 at 12:30 p.m. at home against George Fox.
