PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis defeated Cal Lutheran 8-1 on Saturday afternoon in the L&C Tennis Dome.
The Pioneers swept through doubles with Aurora Garrison and Gillian Lowe earning a convincing 8-1 win at the No. position. Olivia Cornell and Claudia Lew battled to a 9-7 win at the No. 2 spot, while Isabelle Borris and Lisa Osepyan collected an 8-0 win as the No. 3 team.
Garrison won her singles match at the No. 1 spot, taking down Lindsday Murphy 6-3, 6-1. Olivia Cornell made quick work of Sarah Baker at the No. 2 position, winning 6-3, 6-0. Lew battled at the No. 3 spot but was unable to earn a point, taking Emily Werman to three sets.
Lowe won 6-0, 6-1 at the No. 4 spot, while Osepyan won 6-1, 6-1 as the Pioneers No. 5. Olivia Sweetman earned the teams final point, winning 6-3, 6-1 from the No. 6 position.
