FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Senior Andrew Frisina tied the Lewis & Clark football single season reception record on Saturday in the Pioneers Northwest Conference contest at Pacific. Frisina ended the contest with eight receptions for 94 yards, taking his season total to 80 catches. 

The Pioneers fell to the Boxers 68-24, moving to 1-6 on the season and 1-3 in conference action. The Boxers improve to 6-1 on the season and 2-1 in NWC play. 

Pacific jumped out to a quick lead, scoring two unanswered touchdowns to go up 13-0. The Pioneers answered with the first of Keith Welch's two touchdown passes to Frisina. After the Boxers pulled ahead with two more touchdown drives, Lewis & Clark found the endzone again, as Welch connected with Darrell Nelson on a 33 yard strike to cut the lead to 13 

That's as close as the Pioneers would get, however. Pacific scored three more unanswered touchdowns in the second and third quarters to put the game out of reach. After Frisina caught his second Welch pass for a touchdown midway through the third, the Pioneers got one more offensive boost in the form of an 11 yard touchdown dash from Jacob Costantino.

Welch finished the game 26-39 passing for 305 yards and three passing touchdowns. He once again led Lewis & Clark in rushing, gaining 34 yards on 14 carries 

In addition to Frisina's production, the Pioneer passing game was supplemented by Costantino, who caught a team-high eleven receptions for 64 yards. Nelson also added 60 yards and a touchdown on only three receptions.

A Pioneers defense that has been depleted by injury throughout the season was led by Lucas Rogers, who accumulated a team-high eight tackles. Lincoln Boyd and Aaron Ross added seven tackles apiece. Boyd also had the team's lone interception.
