Women's Tennis Battles Against Pacific in Northwest Conference Opener

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team fell to the Pacific Boxers on Friday evening in their first Northwest Conference match of the season. The Pioneers won three singles sets but fell to the Boxers 6-3.

Senior Jill Coleman easily took down Rachel Mizuno from the No. 3 spot, earning a 6-4 and 6-0 victory. Sophomore Makena McCluskey picked up a win in the No. 5 singles spot with a 6-3, 6-0 take down of Amber Crariotto. From the No. 6 singles Elisa Alway had her hands full with Kelsey Lack falling in the first game before bouncing back to win 6-3, 1-0 (10-4).

Lisa Osepyan and Olivia Sweetman put up a battle in the No. 2 doubles position but could not hang on falling to Kelsey Trujillo and Lillian Do 6-4.

Lewis & Clark returns to the court on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. hosting Linfield in the L&C Tennis Dome.
