PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark football team was unable to get on the board against the #3 ranked team in the nation on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Linfield Wildcats 63-0 in Northwest Conference action.
Freshman quarterback Colin Seitz finished the game 10-13 with an interception for 83 yards after replacing Keith Welch. Welch was four of 16 for 50 yards in a little over a quarter of play. Zach Littlefield also saw some action behind center completing three of eight passes for 32-yards.
Sophomore Chris Chew netted 22-yards on four carries for the Pioneers, while Josh Bocker concluded the day with 14 yards on 11 carries. Nico Ohland led the Pioneer receivers with 43-yards on five catches, while Jacob Costantino had 30 yards on five receptions.
Logan Kotzian, Andrew Traver and Lamar Curry each finished with seven tackles for the defense, with Kotzian also picking up a tackle for a loss as well as breaking up a pass. Jasper Dean sacked the Wildcat quarterbacks twice, while Nathan Kinney and Jon Bielawicz each had a sack.
The Pioneers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 1:45 p.m. when they host the Pacific Boxers for homecoming as well as senior day.
