Men's Basketball Takes 89-85 Overtime Victory From UPS To Take Possession of Second Place In NWC

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark men's basketball team took down the Puget Sound Loggers on Friday night in the Pamplin Sports Center 89-85 to move into sole possession of second place in the Northwest Conference standings with one game remaining in the season.

With the win the Pioneers are now 18-6 on the season and 11-4 in conference play. The Pio win and a Whitman loss moved the Pioneers into second in the conference and the Missionaries in third. With a win tomorrow night at Willamette the Pioneers will earn the No. 2 seed in the NWC playoffs and host the Missionaries on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m.

The Pioneers hit the road for their final game of the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. when they travel to Salem to take on the Willamette Bearcats.
