BOX SCORE
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Lewis & Clark
men's basketball team made a grand return to Northwest
Conference action on Tuesday night by taking down the Linfield
Wildcats 74-66 in the Pamplin Sports Complex.
The win is the Pioneers third consecutive victory, while
improving their record to 8-3 on season and 2-1 in conference play.
The Wildcats are now 5-7 overall and 1-2 in NWC play.
The Pioneers were led offensively by 22 points from junior PJ
Taylor. Taylor also ended the night with a game-high four steals.

Wells chipped in 14.
K.C. Wiser led the Wildcats with a game-high 24 points, while

Despite scoring the first points of the contest, the Wildcats
would fail to control the first half of action. Lewis & Clark
would see their lead gradually increase throughout the course of
the half, with its largest lead coming with 10:49 left in the half.
A layup in the paint by Wells would hand the Pios a 23-9 advantage.
The Wildcats would earn a couple points back before the half,
including a jumper with one second left by Rosario.
Down 36-31 at the half, the Wildcats would come out with a lot
of fight in the opening minutes of the second half. A layup
by Wiser with 16:48 on the clock tied the game at 41-41 and seemed
to be the start of a Wildcat comeback. The Pioneers would have
different plans, going on a 16-4 run to capture a 57-45 lead with
10:16 to play. The Pioneers were never in danger of losing the lead
the remainder of the contest, going on to take the game 74-66.
The Pioneers return to action on Friday, Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. when
they host the George Fox Bruins.
