Men's Tennis Falls to Whitworth Sunday

In their third Conference match of the weekend, the Pioneer men's tennis team fell 8-1 (results) to the Whitworth Pirates Sunday in the tennis dome.

George Allen and Dirk Frouws earned an early victory at #1 doubles, winning 8-5, but it was the lone point the Pioneers would win. Allen won his first set 7-5, but fell 6-1, 6-2 in the later two sets. Adam Rager, playing at #5 singles, also won his first set 6-3, before falling 6-0, 6-3 to lose the point.

The women's team fell 7-0 (results) in a match against Division I Portland State. We would like to amend previous reports that this was an exhibition match against the club team. This was an official match against the first-year program at Portland State University, with all stats counting for the Pioneers.
