Football Season Finale

The Pioneer football team closed out the 2007 season with a 66-0 (box score) loss to the Linfield Wildcats .

The Wildcats dominated both sides of the ball, with their defense holding the Pioneers to 43 net yards (12 rushing, 31 receiving) and two first downs. The Wildcats did not punt the ball until the fourth quarter. The Pioneers did amass 111 return yards with both Michael Anchustegui (senior, King Hill, Idaho) and Ryan Kostecka (freshman, Napa, Calif.) each having a 23-yard return.

Ryan Lockard (senior, Creswell, Ore.) in his final game as a Pioneer, had 11 tackles, eight solo and three assisted, including two tackles-for-a-loss and a sack. Shawn Kelly (freshman, Clackamas, Ore.) and Jared Berglund (sophomore, Gresham, Ore.) also logged 11 tackles.

The Pioneers end the season 0-9, 0-6 in the Northwest Conference.
