Stutzman took a pass from senior
Gwen Daoust and dribbled past two defenders, before lifting a left-footed shot that floated just over the hand of the Bruins goalie and just underneath the bar, to give the Pioneers the lead at 86:33.Ā

Lewis & Clark held the Bruins without a shot for the final 3:27 to snap a five-game losing streak and earn their first overall and first conference win of the season in their 2025 Northwest Conference home opener.Ā

Anna Ingadottir made five saves to earn her first shutout and first victory of the campaign.Ā

George Fox controlled the game early and earned a 9-2 shot advantage in the first half. They had one of their best looks of the game in the eighth minute, when Lindsey Kong sent a low cross that made it's way through multiple players and forced a diving save from Ingadottir.Ā

The Bruins would continue to pepper the Pioneers net and Ingadottir made four of five saves in the half. She added a strong stop on Liv Haima in the 39
thĀ minute to keep the game 0-0.Ā

The hosts seemingly had their best chance to score in the final 10 minutes of the half. Stutzman attempted to cross the ball for
Kailani Pascua but her pass went off the hand of a Bruin in the box and bounced away. Despite multiple claims for handball by the Lewis & Clark players, the referee allowed play to continue.Ā

Lewis & Clark posted their lone shot on goal of the half in the 45
thĀ minute, when
Kate Meinhard headed a shot right at the keeper - off a long free kick that bounced around the box.Ā

The Pioneers would pick up their play in the second half and ended up outshooting the visitors 5-3.Ā

Riley Yip used their speed to make several marauding runs down the sidelines and kept the Bruins defense on edge.Ā

Lewis & Clark had their best two chances of the game to score in the final seven minutes.Ā

Carli Driskill floated a long free kick into the six-yard box and the ball bounced over the keeper, but a George Fox defender cleaned the ball off the line at 83:48.Ā

Stutzman struck for her first goal of the season at 86:33. Daoust brought down a Bruins clearance along the near sideline and fed Stutzman. The junior dribbled past two defenders and sent a left-footed shot from 25-yards out just under the bar for a 1-0 edge.Ā

BY THE NUMBERS
- George Fox finished the game with a 12-7 advantage in shots and a 5-4 lead in shots on goal and corner kicks.Ā
- Stutzman's goal was the first of her collegiate career and her first point since September 18, 2024. She now has one career goal and three assists.Ā
- Ingadottir posted her first shutout of the season and fourth of her career. With her five saves, she is now sitting on 97 for her career.Ā
- Daoust's assist was her first career assist/point in her 14thĀ collegiate game.Ā
- With the win, Lewis & Clark snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Bruins. It was the team's first win over George Fox since September 15, 2021.Ā
- Saturday's win marked Lewis & Clark's first victory since October 12, 2024. The win snapped a 15-game winless streak (0-12-3) dating back to last season.Ā Ā
