HOW IT HAPPENED

Hageman became the first Lewis & Clark men's golfer to win a tournament since October 2014 when Drew Groshong ('17) won the Northwest Conference Fall Classic. Hageman turned in a tournament-low round of 69 (-3) on Monday and finished with an even-par 144 (69-75) across two days, to finish first out of 46 golfers at the Tualatin Country Club.Ā

Mason Hill all finished in the top-10 to help the A team keep pace with #15 Whitman College for the majority of the 36-hole tournament. Whitman eventually finished eight strokes ahead of the Pioneers but Lewis & Clark led heading to the 11
thĀ tee and were tied as late as the 13
thhole.Ā

Hageman posted his first collegiate win after racking up seven birdies and one eagle across 36 holes. He finished first in the field on Monday (69, -3) and turned in a 75 (+3) on Tuesday. His two-day total of 144 (69-75) was one stroke better than Whitman's Grady Brown who posted a 145 (+1).

Blankinship placed tied for fifth overall with a score of 149 (+5). The junior sat second in the field after Day One. He shot a 70 (-2) which was tied for the second-lowest round of the tournament and one of only three under-par rounds across the two days. Blankinship shot a 79 (+7) on Tuesday.Ā

Hill tied for the lowest-round of any Pioneers on Tuesday. He opened the tournament with an 80 (+8) on Monday to finish tied for fourth on the A Team. Hill bounced back with a 73 (+1) on Tuesday and finished the back nine with a score of -1. He wrapped up the tournament in a tie for ninth overall with a score of 152 (+8).Ā

Sophomore
Joonho Moon came in a tie for 13
thĀ overall. Moon shot a 79 (+7) on Day One and shaved off four strokes on Tuesday (75, +3) to finish tied for second on the A Team. He posted a two-day score of 154 (+10).Ā

Junior
Kenji Pickeral was the fifth-member of the A Team. He ended the 36-holes with a score of 155 (+13) to finish in a tie for 17
th. Pickeral posted an 80 (+8) on Day One and notched a 77 (+5) on Tuesday.Ā

B TEAMĀ
Ā
Lewis & Clark fielded a second team at their first home event of the season. The B Team finished fourth overall and made a massive jump from Day One to Day Two. They shot a +28 on Monday, before improving by 14 strokes (+14) on the second and final day. The B Team finished ahead of Pacific University (+61) and Warner Pacific University (+72) and the B Teams from George Fox University (+89) and Willamette University (+90).Ā

First year
Nate Loew finished first among the team's four first year years and also first on the B Team. He shot a 77 (+5) on Monday in his first collegiate round. Loew added a 76 (+4) on Tuesday to finish with a two-day total of 153 (+9). He ended the tournament in 12
thĀ place overall and fourth out of Lewis & Clark's 12 golfers.Ā

Sophomore
Tanner Moody finished second on the team with a two-day total of 154 (+10). After an Opening Round score of 81 (+9), Moody tied for the lowest-round of any Pioneers with a 73 (+1) on Tuesday. He finished the back nine with a score of -1 and posted just one bogey in his final 11 holes on Day Two. Moody wrapped up the tournament in a tie for 13

Senior
Millen Mistry shot a career-low 75 (+3) on Tuesday to wrap up one of his best tournaments to date. Mistry opened the tournament with a 81 (+9) on Monday. He finished 16
thĀ overall with a score of 156 (+12).Ā

First year
Trae Fredrickson finished fourth on the B Team. The first year carded a 77 (+5) on Monday to finish tied for the team-lead. He posted an 80 (+8) on Tuesday. Frederickson registered a two-day score of 157 (+13) to finish in a tie for 17

Brady Gless came in fifth on the B Team. He shot a 78 (+6) on Monday and came back with an 80 (+8) on Day Two. The first year tied for 21
stĀ overall in the field with a score of 158 (+14).Ā

With their largest team in recent memory, Lewis & Clark had two final players compete as individuals across the two days.Ā

Senior
Ben Oates tied for 42
ndĀ in the field with a score of 175 (+31). Oates shot an 84 (+12) on Monday and turned in a 91 (+19) on Day Two.Ā

First year
Talon Kenfield was the team's fourth first year to make their collegiate debut. He made the biggest adjustment of any player in the field across the two days. Kenfield shot a 103 (+31) on Day One. The first year turned in an 81 (+9) to shave off 22 strokes between the two days. Kenfield wrapped up the tournament 45
thoverall with a score of 184 (+40).Ā

BY THE NUMBERS
- Lewis & Clark's A Team finished first in the field with their 4.83 scoring average (-5) on Par 5s. They placed second in the field with a 3.20 average (+6) on the Par 3s.Ā
- Hageman placed tied for second in the field with seven birdies. Blankinship was just behind him with six (tied for fifth).Ā
- The A team finished first overall in pars (103), second in birdies (24) and tied for second in eagles (one).Ā
- Hill (22), Pickeral (21) and Hageman (20) finished tied for second, tied for seventh and 10thĀ in the field for total pars.Ā
- Hageman recorded an eagle on the par 5 11thĀ hole on Monday. It was one of just five recorded eagles amongst the field.Ā
- Mistry's round of 75 (+3) on Tuesday was his lowest career round to par by two strokes. He shot a 76 (+5) at last year's Pacific Invitational.Ā
- Hageman (seven), Blankinship (six), Moon (five), Loew (five), Mistry, Hill and Moody all posted at least four birdies across 36 holes.Ā Ā
