SALEM, Ore.—Host Corban University scored a late goal in each half, to earn a 2-0 win over Lewis & Clark College men's soccer on Saturday morning in the Pioneers' non-conference finale.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Corban held a large advantage in the shot column but failed to break down the Pioneers defense until the 43
rdminute in the first half. They doubled their lead and effectively put the game away, when they made it 2-0 with 3:08 remaining.
Junior
Micaiah Garan and senior
Declan Cloutier split time in net for Lewis & Clark. Garan made one save on two shots in the first 45 minutes. Cloutier came on for the second half and stopped three of the four shots he faced.
Senior
Ben Schwartz, junior
Dylan Weinstein and sophomore
Sam Gunderson all recorded shots for Lewis & Clark in the contest. Schwartz and Weinstein each posted shots on target.
Corban registered the only four shots of the first half and made it 1-0 at 42:25 when Alexander Guindy netted his first goal of the season.
The second half saw both teams increase their shot and foul totals by significant margins as the game became a bit chippy.
Corban opened the second half by recording the first five shots of the stanza. They nearly made it 2-0 but Zachary Milczarek's header was cleared off the line by a Pioneers defender after a Warriors corner kick.
Weinstein posted Lewis & Clark's first shot of the contest in the 79
th minute but his shot was saved by Corban keeper Callum Thompson.
Corban went up a man in the 83
rd minute. Alexander Guindy was issued his second yellow of the game at 82:52.
Gunderson attempted a shot directly after the red card. The shot was blocked but it went out for a Lewis & Clark corner kick.
Schwartz had a great chance to tie the game in the 84
th minute but Thompson came up with a big save.
Corban put the game at 86:52 when Milczarek posted his second goal of the season.

- The two teams combined for 28 fouls with Corban recording 15 fouls.
- Saturday's meeting was the first counting countable contest between the two programs since Lewis & Clark returned to varsity status in 2022. The two teams played two scrimmages in Portland in 2022.
