PORTLAND, Ore. – Seniors Kate Meinhard and Carli Driskill teamed up for Lewis & Clark College women's soccer's first goal of the season as the Pioneers opened their 2025 campaign with a 1-1 draw against the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Friday afternoon at Griswold Stadium.

THE BASICS

Lewis & Clark 1, UW-Oshkosh 1
(Lewis & Clark 0-0-1)
(UW-Oshkosh 0-0-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED

On a corner kick from the far side in the 71st minute, Driskill floated the ball into the box and found Meinhard at the near post. Meinhard slipped behind her defender and headed the ball into the net at the far post for her fourth career goal. The tally also marked Driskill's fifth career assist.

Senior goalkeeper Anna Ingadottir anchored the defense, tallying a career best nine saves across 90 minutes. She made four stops in the opening half and added five more after intermission, including a diving effort in the 70th minute to keep the game within reach.

Junior Mischa Vanek and sophomore Kailani Pascua paced the offense with four shots apiece. Vanek, who earned her first career start, finished with two shots on goal, matching Meinhard for the team lead.

UW-Oshkosh broke through in the 62nd minute and struck first after a scoreless first half. Midfielder Alexa Schorr collected a ball inside the box and buried her shot to the lower right corner off a pair of passes from Greta Steines and Addyson Knoebel to give the Titans a 1-0 advantage.

Both sides pressed for a game-winner in the closing 20 minutes. Wisconsin-Oshkosh held a narrow edge in possession, while the Pioneers generated multiple late opportunities off corner kicks that were cleared away.
