PORTLAND, Ore. — Lewis & Clark College women's basketball closed out the 2025 home schedule with an 80–72 loss to NAIA Bushnell University on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First-year
Hailey Perez and sophomore
Kaitlen Carns combine for 30 points to lead Lewis & Clark against the Beacons. Perez scored a career-high 17 points, adding a collegiate-best seven rebounds with three assists. Carns chipped in 13 points, three rebounds and one assist.
Junior
Lauryn Frederickson and first-year
Lilly Jordan added 10 points apiece. Frederickson grabbed seven rebounds, and Jordan posted six rebounds and two assists. Junior
Kaela Guidry finished with six points and a game-high nine rebounds. First-year
Ky Roussin added five points and four rebounds, while junior
DJ Kendrick recorded four points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Lewis & Clark held a 15–14 lead after the first quarter. Frederickson opened the scoring with a layup at 8:55, and Guidry put the Otts ahead 8–6 on a fast-break finish at 5:14. Jordan knocked down a three-pointer with five seconds left to send the River Otters into the break up one.
Lewis & Clark pushed ahead 20–16 early in the second when junior
Divinity Singleton scored inside and Perez connected from deep on the next trip. Jordan added her second three-pointer at 5:09 to make it 27–21. Bushnell responded with a 5–2 run to cut it to 27–26 at 4:11. Frederickson scored in transition for a 32–29 edge at 2:44, but the Beacons closed the half on an 8–3 stretch to take a 37–35 lead at halftime.
Bushnell built a 51–41 margin at 2:49 of the third quarter after opening the frame on a 14–6 run. Roussin scored on a put-back at the buzzer to bring the River Otters within 57–46 heading to the fourth.
Lewis & Clark responded with its strongest push of the day, scoring 10 straight to start the final quarter. Guidry, Perez and Carns all contributed, and Perez hit back-to-back threes to pull the Otts within 57–56 with 7:17 remaining. The Beacons countered with nine consecutive points to extend the lead to 66–56 at the five-minute mark. Perez hit two free throws at 1:48 to make it 70–66, but Lewis & Clark did not get closer.

- Lewis & Clark held a 44-41 rebounding advantage, including 12 offensive rebounds.
