Barton earned her first individual event victory of the season and Cummings earned an individual win for the third-straight meet to open the year.Ā

Barton picked up the first win of the night for women's swimming with a dominant showing in the 100 Free. The senior placed first out of eight swimmers with a time of 56.70. She finished 1.38 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Senior
Ella Gimon took fourth overall with a mark of 1:00.80.Ā

Cummings continued her strong start to the year in the backstroke events. She defeated six others swimmers in the 100 Back with a time of 1:01.47. The next swimmer to touch the wall came in 3.47 seconds behind her.

Aniqah Gaffoor led a quartet of River Otters in the 50 Free. Gaffoor touched the wall in 25.99 to place second overall. Senior

Barton claimed the team's lone individual third-place finish. She took third out of eight swimmers in the 200 Free. Barton posted a time of 2:04.63 to pace the team.Ā

BY THE NUMBERSĀ
- Justus led a trio of swimmers in the 500 Free. She posted a time of 6:00.26 to finish fourth overall. Hurty (6:07.06) and McAnally (6:26.67) placed fifth and sixth in the event.Ā
- Cummings has now won the 100 Backstroke twice and gone undefeated (3-0) in Backstroke events this season.Ā
- Gimon represented Lewis & Clark in the 100 Breaststroke. She took fourth place with a mark of 1:21.75.Ā
- Gaffoor led three Lewis & Clark swimmers in the 100 Fly. Gaffoor posted a time of 1:01.91 to finish in fourth place. Cummings (1:05.75) and Thorpe (1:09.00) came in sixth and seventh overall.Ā
