Women’s Soccer Posts Third Straight Shutout in Scoreless Draw at Whitworth

Anna Ingadottir Posts Sixth Career Shutout as Pioneers Blank Third Straight Opponent

SPOKANE, Wash. — Lewis & Clark College women's soccer earned its third consecutive shutout Saturday morning, playing Whitworth University to a 0-0 draw in Northwest Conference action at Whitworth Soccer Field. The Pioneers held the Pirates scoreless through 90 minutes behind another strong outing from senior goalkeeper Anna Ingadottir.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Ingadottir recorded nine saves on 19 shots, securing her sixth career shutout and third this season. She has not allowed a goal in consecutive matches and helped Lewis & Clark post its third straight clean sheet. Ingadottir made five saves in the opening half and added four after halftime to keep Whitworth off the scoreboard.

Whitworth controlled possession throughout the day and finished with a 66-34 advantage. The Pirates produced nine shots on target and earned two corner kicks, but the Lewis & Clark back line—anchored by seniors Abby Morrow and Elle Sparks, sophomore Kaedance Stubbs, and sophomore Ava Lazzara—limited second-chance attempts.

Lewis & Clark created its best scoring sequence early in the second half. Senior midfielder Carli Driskill tested Whitworth goalkeeper Karlee Roderick in the 54th minute, and junior forward Mischa Vanek followed with a shot from the left side three minutes later that Roderick stopped. Junior midfielder Grace Smith added the Pioneers' other attempt in the first half.

Ingadottir's final save came in the 74th minute on a long-range effort by Lily Cardenas, preserving the scoreless result.
