PORTLAND, Ore.—Junior Leila Hausia-Haugen scored in the fourth minute and the final four minutes, to lead visiting University of Puget Sound past Lewis & Clark College women's soccer on Sunday afternoon at Griswold Stadium.Â

Hausia-Haugen converted a penalty kick 3:01 into the contest and sealed the win with her team-leading seventh goal of the season at 86:27.

Mischa Vanek led the Lewis & Clark with two shots. Vanek and fellow junior
Grace Smith posted the team's two shots on target.Â

The Loggers took the lead in the fourth minute after Hausia-Haugen was tripped up at the top of the box. The junior stepped to the penalty spot and sent a low shot just inside the far post for a 1-0 lead.Â

Lewis & Clark would create the majority of their chances of the game in the first half and had two great chances to tie the game.Â

In the 18
th minute, Smith received a pass on the far side of the field, drove to the edge of the box and sent a low, hard shot across goal that Puget Sound keeper Gianna Maldonado dove to stop.Â

Vanek nearly made it 1-1 in the 29
th minute. Smith slid a pass across to Vanek inside the box but Vanek's right-footed shot was corralled by the Puget Sound keeper.Â

The second half would be a cagey affair with the two teams combining for just six shots and one on target.Â

Puget Sound put the game away at 86:27 when Mazy Wright set up Hausia-Haugen for her second goal of the contest.Â

- Puget Sound finished the game with a 15-6 lead in shots and 6-2 edge in shots on goal.Â
- Senior Elle Sparks and sophomore Ava Lazzara each played the full 90 minutes. Sparks moved over from outside back to center back for most of the second half.Â
- First year Hattie Valdez Lindgren played a career-high 26 minutes off the bench.Â
- Puget Sound won both contests this season against Lewis & Clark 2-0. The Pioneers put together a far better statistical game on Sunday after being outshot 21-1 at Puget Sound.Â
