HOW IT HAPPENED

After a quiet first half in which the two teams combined for four shots apiece, Lewis & Clark outshot the Boxers 9-4 in the second half and took advantage of a pair of Carli Driskill corner kicks to avenge an earlier 2-1 loss to Pacific.

Senior center back Abby Morrow and senior midfielder Kate Meinhard each scored in the win.

In net, first year Brie Maker earned her first career win and first career shutout. Maker posted five saves in her third collegiate start.

Maker made three of her five saves in the first half to keep the score 0-0. All three of her saves came in a 2:50 span, including back-to-back saves on Rhyah Jackson.

Lewis & Clark began to take control of the game in the 50th minute. Driskill and junior Mischa Vanek posted back-to-back shots in the 50th and 54th minute.

Morrow made it 1-0 at 61:26. The senior headed home Driskill's corner kick for her first collegiate goal.

Meinhard made it 2-0 at 64:49. Driskill floated a corner to the back post and Meinhard headed it past the keep for her second goal of the season.

Vanek and junior Iris Stutzman each almost added to the Pioneers lead as they outshot Pacific 9-4 in the second stanza.
