HONOLULU, Hawaii – Lewis & Clark College women's soccer fell 4-1 to NCAA Division II Chaminade University on Saturday afternoon in an exhibition game for both squads.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First-year
Siena Flock scored the Pioneers' lone goal from 12 yards out in the 89
th minute of the game to prevent a shutout loss. Her unassisted score hit the lower left corner of the net at 88:25.
Four different Silverswords scored over a span of 14 minutes to take control of the game.
Keeper
Anna Ingadottir recorded seven saves and held the Silverswords scoreless for 66 minutes. The junior earned the start and played 74 minutes in net, surrendering only two goals while facing 20 shots.
Lewis & Clark senior
Celeste Schreifels attempted the first shot of the game from just outside of the penalty box in the second minute, but it sailed wide right of the net. Junior
Carli Driskill booted the ball from the top of the box at 7:37, but Chaminade goalie Izabella Holly stopped the Honolulu native's shot.
Defender
Abby Morrow ran out and blocked a Silverswords kick in the 15th minute to help keep the hosts off the scoreboard.
Kate Meinhard recorded the final two shots for the Pioneers in the half, one going wide right and the other sailing high as the first-half clock expired.
Chaminade started the second half aggressively, attacking the net with four shots on goal in just over a minute of play. Ingadottir recorded her third save of the game at 55:17 and her sixth at 56:24. Her final save of the game came just before a Silverswords corner kick in the 67th minute, which scored the first goal for the home team.
Junior
Delaney Jones entered the game for Ingadottir in the 74
th minute after Chaminade took a 2-0 lead. Jones faced six shots, giving up two goals and saving the Silverswords' last attempt in the final minute of the game.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Seven first-time Pioneers saw action in the exhibition, and three of them, transfer Iris Stutzman and first-years Flock and Ava Lazzara, earned starts.
- Saturday's contest marked the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
- First-years Tatum Akimoto-Albarado, Juliette Miller, Kaedance Stubbs, and Kailani Pascua all made appearances off the bench for the Pioneers.
- Chaminade held a 10-1 advantage on corner kicks and outshot Lewis & Clark 18-1 in the second half.
- The Pioneers played their first game away from the West Coast since September 2, 2019, when they took on Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
