Noah Sutin all went 2-0 to lead the Pioneers to their second win in less than 24 hours.Ā

The Pioneers opened the match with a sweep of double.Ā
Ā
At number three doubles, Sutin and Chio cruised past their opponents 8-1. The Pioneers made it 2-0 at number two doubles when Wills and Cronin combined for an 8-2 victory. Lyon and McDermott had the tightest of the three matches at number one singles. The pair went back-and-forth with Linfield's Rogue Stone and Seth Lee before claiming an 8-7 (7-2 win).Ā

Lewis & Clark made quick work of the Wildcats in singles to earn their first 9-0 sweep of the season.Ā

Wills made it 4-0 when he earned a 6-3, 6-3 win over Alexander Rosenquist at third singles.Ā

Sutin clinched the win with his first collegiate dual singles victory. The freshman knocked off Lee 6-2, 6-4 at first singles.Ā

Lyon wrapped up his match next. The freshman posted a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Cameron Paulsen at fourth singles.Ā
Ā
Chio had the tightest singles match of the afternoon. The junior needed a tiebreak in the first set, before eventually winning his second singles match 7-6 (8-6), 6-3.Ā

McDermott extended the lead to 8-0 with a 6-1, 6-3 victory at fifth singles.Ā

Cronin locked up the sweep with a win at sixth singles. He defeated Matous Young 6-2, 6-1.Ā

BY THE NUMBERS
- Lewis & Clark has now won 18-straight matches over Linfield. Saturday's sweep was the Pioneers first over the Wildcats since March 4, 2017 and their sixth 9-0 result during the 18-match winning streak.Ā
- The Pioneers did not drop a set in singles on Saturday. They lost just two sets in singles across their two matches this weekend.Ā
- Lewis & Clark is off to it's first 2-0 start since the 2014-15 season. The Pioneers started 8-0 that season and reached the NWC Championship Match.Ā Ā
