Pioneers remain unbeaten (3-0-4) in last seven games against Wildcats.

MCMINNVILLE, Ore. – Lewis & Clark College women's soccer recorded their fourth consecutive shutout against Linfield University as the two teams played to a 0-0 draw in a Northwest Conference midweek game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Junior keeper Anna Ingadottir earned her second career shutout with one save to help the Pioneers remain unbeaten in the last seven meetings with the Wildcats.

The Pioneers controlled the majority of scoring chances, outshooting the Wildcats 4-1 in shots on goal during the defensive battle.

Ingadottir made her lone save of the match in the 21st minute, stopping Jocelyn Jacobs' attempt. The Pioneer defense held strong throughout, limiting Linfield to just five total shots.

Lewis & Clark created early opportunities in the first half, with first-year Ava Lazzara and sophomore Grace Smith forcing consecutive saves from Linfield goalkeeper Alexa Fritz in the 27th minute. Junior Iris Stutzman's shot in the 34th minute sailed wide right for the Pios.

The Pioneers continued to press in the second half, as senior Celeste Schreifels tested Fritz with a shot in the 62nd minute. Junior Megan Yanagi added another shot on target in the 77th minute, but Fritz was equal to the task.

Junior Kate Meinhard booted a ball that sailed over Fritz's head and into the net with seven seconds left in the game, but the goal was waived off as the referee had blown the whistle for a yellow card on Linfield's Kami Echiverri. Meinhard's free kick sailed wide of the goal to end the game.
