(Lewis & Clark 0-14, Northwest Conference 0-10)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Â
Cloutier earned his first appearance since Opening Day and first start of the season in the Pioneers first game during a busy stretch. The junior posted all four of his saves during the first half to post a season-high for saves.Â
Â
Offensively, junior
Ben Schwartz and sophomore
Dylan Weinstein combined to record all the Pioneers shots. Both players finished with two shots and one shot on goal.Â
Â
Puget Sound sophomore Rhys Foote scored back-to-back goals in the first 10+ minutes to give the Loggers control. Foote opened the scoring at 5:54 and added his team-leading sixth goal of the season at 10:10.Â
Â
The Loggers struck for two more first-half goals in a 3:16 span. Jake Aigner made it 3-0 at 23:34 on a feed from Ian Cameron. Cameron made it 4-0 at 26:50 on a Pema Globus pass.Â
Lewis & Clark played a much more competitive second half. After being outshot 9-1 in the first half, they posted three of their four shots in the second half and limited the Loggers to five shots (all not on target).
Â
Weinstein created the best looks of the day for Lewis & Clark early in the second stanza. The sophomore hit the woodwork in the 54
th minute and less than a minute later he forced a save from Loggers goalie Ryan Saunders.Â
Â
Leif Anderson scored the lone goal of the second half with an unassisted tally at 78:14.Â
Â
