Daniel Estoll scored his first collegiate goal and freshman goalie
Keahi Meredith made a career-high four saves in his first collegiate start, but Lewis & Clark College men's soccer couldn't keep up with host Linfield College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Estoll became the third Pioneer to score a goal this season when he beat the Linfield keeper in the 69
thminute. The goal came just over 30 seconds after the Wildcats scored their final goal of the game.
Sophomore
Ishan Abraham won a 50/50 challenge inside the Pioneers defensive third and then found junior
Beno Boda along the near sideline. Boda lifted a pass into the box that landed between a Linfield defender and the keeper. With the ball between both players, Estoll raced in and lifted the shot over the keeper with his knee for his first collegiate goal. Boda picked up the assist on the play.
Meredith, who was making his second collegiate appearance, made four saves on nine shots over a career-high 90 minutes. The freshman posted three of his four saves in the second half.
Linfield senior Seamus Miller scored a hat trick to lead the hosts. Miller scored three-straight goals, the Wildcats second, third and fourth of the game, over a 35:34 span. He also tacked on an assist on the team's fifth goal.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Boda leads the team with two assists this season and owns the current program record with two career assists.
- Linfield led the Pioneers with a 22-6 shot advantage and a 9-2 lead on shots on goal.
- Estoll's goal was on his first collegiate shot on goal. He came into the the contest with three shots.
- Meredith's appearance was his first since September 2, when he played the final 42 minutes against Bushnell University.
