Key Moments

The Pioneers began Senior Day with three doubles matches. On court two, Caren Uribe and Eadie Poulsen stayed in control and closed out their match quickly with an 8-0 win.

Lauren Smith-Euben and Kacie Lau kept a considerable lead in third doubles throughout the match and finished 8-2.

Vives and Rice started off their doubles match down 5-2 to the Bearcats top pair, Richelle Suzuki and Anika Groener. The Pioneers slowly inched their way back with some long rallies in the win column. Playing almost errorless, Vives and Rice went on a 6-0 run to finish their last home doubles match 8-5 over the Bearcats. With the win, the Pioneers went into singles competition leading 3-0.

"It just took a little while for them to get going, but I knew the veterans in them would shine," said Coach Chau.

Sophomore, Arielle Bloom helped the Pioneers continue their hot streak in singles competition, defeating Suzuki 6-3, 6-4.

Allison Gabelman, Sujhad Amado Aguad and Hayley Kreps added dominant wins in singles as well, to help the Pioneers finish Senior Day 9-0 over the Bearcats.
