Box Score 2 WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Lewis & Clark Pioneers bounced back from a 19-5 loss in game one against the Whitman Blues with a 9-4 win in Saturday's finale to split the opening day of Northwest Conference games at Borleske Stadium.
Tyler Shimabukuro earned the win in 2-1/3 innings of relief. He allowed two hits and two runs on four walks and two strikeouts. Zack Kon had six RBI off two home runs.
Whitman's Garrett Runyan hit two homers and had six RBI in the opener to lead the Blues.

Game 1 | Key Moments
After falling behind by three, Lewis & Clark (6-4, 1-1 NWC) tied the game in the fourth. Riley Guieb had already hit a two-RBI single in the second and then added an RBI with a single in the fourth.
Whitman scored eight runs in the fourth inning. Julien Hernandez pitched 6-2/3 innings, gave up four hits and three earned runs with 10 strikeouts.
Jack Thomson had a two-RBI double in the seventh for the Pios final runs.
Game 2 | Key Moments
Dylan Moore hit another lead-off home run as the Pios went up 3-0 in the first inning. Luke Bass hit an RBI single, and with the bases loaded, Kon walked in a run. Moore scored on a second-inning error that allowed Bass to reach.
Kon hit a solo home run in the seventh before smacking a grand slam in the ninth, his second of the season. Jacob Serafini and Thomson had doubles and two walks apiece in the game. Moore was caught stealing.
Casey Parsons started the game, threw four innings and struck out four. Anthony Clerici finished the game over the last 2-2/3 innings with six strikeouts.
