Box Score PASADENA, Calif. -- Dylan Moore, Jack Thomson and Luke Bass had three RBI apiece as the Lewis & Clark Pioneers won 15-4 over the Caltech Beavers in the first of four games in the series.
Brett Pierson threw six scoreless innings with only a single hit allowed. He struck out 10 overall. Brayden Nomura pitched the final three, struck out three and gave up three earned runs.
Moore scored five runs and went 4 for 6 with two home runs and a double. Thomson hit 5 for 6 with two doubles and a triple. Jacob Serafini added a double.

Key Moments
For the second time in as many games, Moore hit a lead-off home run as the Pios put up two runs in the opening inning. The pattern continued in the third and fourth innings, too. Thomson hit an RBI triple in the third and then doubled in the fourth to score another. Bass had RBI groundouts in both frames as well.
Leading 7-2, the Pios scored over half their runs in the final two innings. After Thomson singled in a run, Riley Guieb did the same. Will Heron hit a sacrifice fly and the lead went to 10-2.
In the ninth, Moore hit a two-run homer, Mason Lee had a two-RBI single and Blake Tellinghusen made it 15-2 on an RBI single.
The Beavers (1-3) added two runs in the seventh and two in the ninth.
