Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. – The Lewis & Clark Pioneers found their momentum against the George Fox Bruins on Tuesday night at Pamplin Sports Center, winning 82-59. After trading back and forth through the first half, the Pioneers pulled ahead early in the second and never relinquished the lead. In their last meeting in early January, the Pioneers fell short in a 99-89 loss to the Bruins. This is their first conference win of the season.
Four Pioneers hit double digits on the night, with Jack Henderson earning a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. Brenden Patrick went 9-15 from the line for 19 points, his 11th straight game hitting double digits. Ryan Cibull logged five assists and went 3-5 from the three-point line for 15 points on the night. Jayden Simpson matched Cibull's 15 points and added two steals and two assists.
The Bruins were led by Davon Walker and Austin Clark who combined for 21 points.

Simpson put Lewis & Clark on the scoreboard off an assist from Cibull but the Pioneers traded the lead back and forth with the Bruins from possession to possession. About 10 minutes through the first half, despite a two-point lead, the Bruins started a full-court press against the Pioneers, which they adjusted to quickly. A three-pointer from Cibull gave the Pioneers the lead back with 6:52 left in the first half. He followed up with his second block of the season and got the ball to Jalen Lowery whose layup on the next possession brought the score 20-17. The Bruins then tied the game off free throws. Both teams continued to exchange the lead in the final minute of the first half.
Coming out of the break, Henderson started the scoring efforts for Lewis & Clark with an easy lay-up. The Pioneers went on a momentum-shifting 11-point run, holding the Bruins to just two points in four minutes and establishing an eight-point lead. Ryan Trunkett and Cibull hit back-to-back three-pointers to prompt a Bruins timeout with 11:52 left in regulation. Less than a minute later, Trunkett sunk another three-pointer to give the Pioneers a 55-42 lead. A lay-up from Patrick with 9:54 on the clock started a 12-0 run by Lewis & Clark to push the lead to 21 points. The run was snapped by Kade Sorenson who hit a three-pointer, his only basket of the night. Despite numerous free-throw opportunities, the Bruins never regained their momentum to close the gap. With a little over a minute left in regulation, Sebastian DePrez banked a shot to put the Pioneers up 79-57 and was followed up by a three-pointer on the next possession from Michael Wudel.
