Pasadena, Calif. – Three Pioneers finished in double figures, but it wasn't enough to escape with a win against Caltech.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pioneers were down 11-2 to start the game. They outscored the Beavers 8-3 in the final 2:48 of the first quarter to pull within 14-10.
Juniors Natalie Elstone and Karli Mukai each scored five points in the second stanza to help Lewis & Clark stay close heading to halftime. Caltech was up 29-23 at the break.
Caltech's Kodie Vondra scored nine of her game-high 24 points in the third quarter. The Beavers took their largest lead of the game, 45-27, with just over four minutes left in the quarter. The Pioneers went on a 9-0 run to cut the lead in half.
Freshman Tatiana Rebanal and Junior Charlotte Carroll scored all 13 points in the final quarter for Lewis & Clark. Rebanal had six of her career-high 10 points, while Carroll scored seven of her team-high eleven.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Mukai finished with ten points, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
- Carroll pulled down nine boards and was one away from a double-double.
- Elstone also had nine rebounds and chipped in six points.
- Senior Kendal Jones and sophomore Piper Curry each added seven rebounds in the loss.
- The Pioneers shot a season-high 12-16 (.750) from the charity stripe.
