The Boxers hit 13 3-pointers and five Pacific players finished in double-figures to spoil the Pioneers NWC opener.Ā

Patrick led the Pioneers in scoring for the fourth-straight game and fourth time in five games. He posted a game-high 28 points on 8-14 shooting and finished 12-14 from the free throw line. Patrick chipped in six rebounds and a team-high five assists.Ā

J. Henderson chipped in 24 points on 7-14 shooting and hit five of the Pioneers seven 3-pointers (7-9). He also went 5-7 from the charity stripe and pulled down seven rebounds.Ā

Nikko Echalas and
Khalil Glover-Dodson all tied for third on the team with four points. S. Henderson led the team with eight rebounds and two steals.Ā

Lucas Winkler led the visitors with a double-double of 13 points and 12 assists. Jacob Bolger registered 15 points and five rebounds. Ethan Chung (13 points), Jared Cattell (12 points) and Truman Young (12 points) joined Winkler and Bolger in double-figures.Ā

Pacific jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never trailed in the contest. Lewis & Clark cut the deficit to one (12-11) with a 4-0 run midway through the half. S. Henderson opened the run with a jumper and Patrick added two free throws.Ā

The Boxers answered with a 15-5 run to open up their first double-digit lead of the game at 27-16 with 8:05 to play. Lewis & Clark managed to cut the deficit to eight several times but a late Pacific flurry gave them a 46-33 lead at the break.Ā

After going down 18 early in the second half, Lewis & Clark used a 12-2 run to get back within eight (53-45). Echalas, J. Henderson and Patrick (3-point play) started the run with seven-straight points. After a pair of Pacific free throws, Patrick hit a layup and J. Henderson drained a 3-pointer to get the Pioneers back within single-digits with 15:36 to play.Ā

An 8-0 Pacific run extended the lead back to 16 and Lewis & Clark would never get closer than 13 the rest of the way.Ā

BY THE NUMBERS
- Patrick has now scored 90 points over his last three games and has scored at least 28 points in all three games. He went over 750 points for his career in the contest (757).Ā
- Pacific finished the game shooting 48.1 percent (13-27) from three and hit 12 of their 14 free throw attempts (85.7 percent).Ā
- Henderson's five made 3-pointers are tied for the second-most made threes in a game in his career. He hit six threes in the Pioneers opener this season against Claremont Mudd-Scripps.Ā
- Lewis & Clark tied their season-high with 29 free throw attempts and finished the game 21-29.Ā
