Portland, Ore – The Pioneers traveled across town and won their second game in less than 72 hours against the Portland Bible College Arrows.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Five players recorded career-high point totals, including senior
Jonathan Green. He played 25 minutes against the Arrows and notched numerous career highs. He scored a career-best 10 points off 3-4 shooting from the field and 4-5 from the charity stripe. Green also had five rebounds, seven assists, and six steals, all career-highs.
Reigning NWC Player of the Week,
Brenden Patrick scored 32 points in just over 20 minutes of play, breaking his previous career-high total from Saturday night by two points. The senior was 10-12 from the field for 83.3% and a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line.
Junior
Nikko Echalas shot 5-8, scored a career-high 11 points, and pulled down three rebounds. He also hit his first NCAA basket from beyond the arc.
Nik Berry was 3-4 from long range and recorded a career-high 11 points. The sophomore's career-high seven rebounds led the Pios against the Arrows.
Freshman
Taien Jackson had career highs in points (6) and rebounds (2) while shooting 2-3 from the field. He hit his first two collegiate free throws to start his career perfectly from the line.
The Pioneers started the game on a 9-0 run and held a 21-11 lead halfway through the first half. At halftime, the Pios lead grew to 51-25. They only allowed 19 second-half points and kept the Arrows to 44 points, three less than what they allowed Saturday.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Patrick leads the Pios in scoring through the first four games, averaging 22.5 points per game.
- Sophomore Sam Henderson swatted a career-high four blocks and now leads the team with six.
- Senior Jack Henderson hit his team-leading 14th three-pointer of the season. He also leads the team with 22 rebounds and averages 5.5 per game.
- Over the last four games, the Pioneers' free throw percentage has improved every game. Monday, they shot 82.8% from the line.
WHO'S NEXT
The Pioneers open Northwest Conference play on Tuesday against Pacific at 8:00 p.m. in Pamplin. Pacific was picked to finish fourth in the NWC Coaches' Poll and the Pioneers were selected fifth.
