Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. -- Sammy Benbow homered and Luke Bass had a two-RBI double as part of a four-run ninth inning in the Lewis & Clark Pioneers 14-10 loss to the Pacific Boxers on Sunday at Huston Sports Complex.
After falling behind 6-0 through two innings, the Pioneers slowly chipped away throughout the remainder of the game, ultimately bringing the tying run to the on-deck circle in the ninth. Sam Helms had a single, John Delaney drew a walk and Jack Thomson was hit by his ninth pitch of the year to complement the Benbow and Bass extra-base hits.
Helms went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBI, Dylan Moore hit 2 for 4 with a solo homer in the second and Benbow finished 2 for 3 with three runs and three RBI. Moore also pitched the final two innings and gave up one hit.

Key Moments
Extra-base hits by Isaac Lovings and Tanner Johnson helped Paciffic build the six-run edge through the first couple of innings. Jordan Gonzalez allowed eight hits and eight runs over 5 1/3 innings with two strikeouts.
In the bottom of the second, Moore hit his second career home run and first of the season to put the Pioneers on the board. After back-to-back hitless innings for the Boxers, Benbow hit an RBI single that capitalized on free bases from Pacific - Thomson was hit by a pitch and Zack Kon walked - and Tyler Gannon's flyout, which advanced Thomson to third.
Helms' two-RBI double in the sixth and another RBI single in the seventh paired with Moore's RBI single in the latter to keep the Pioneers, but Pacific scored eight more runs in the sixth and seventh put the Pios down by eight entering the ninth inning.
