VANCOUVER, Wash. -- The bottom five singles matches and No. 2 and 3 doubles were winners for the Lewis & Clark Pioneers in a 7-2 defeat of the Willamette Bearcats on Saturday at Club Green Meadows.
Maca Vives and Rachael Rice partnered together for an 8-1 win in the second doubles spot, and Madelyn Landerfelt and Arielle Bloom won 8-2 in the third doubles spot.

Rice clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Siena Ginsberg in No. 2 singles. In third position, Vives overcame a tough first set against Alyssa Oberg and won 7-6, 6-0. She remains undefeated on the season (5-0).
Natalie Kowal won 6-1, 6-0 over Paisley Lieske in fourth position, a spot in which she is 3-0 this year. First-year competitors Kate Stratton and Bloom both won 6-0, 6-0. Stratton defeated Camille Gibney in fifth position to improve 4-0 this year, while Bloom beat Ruby Thompson in the sixth spot.
Landerfelt and Bloom beat Ruby Blake and McKenna Turner in the No. 3 doubles match. The Pios pair is 2-0 this season.
