Key Moments
Peev and Vickers had the lone doubles win of the night in the third position, taking down opponents Sam Cosn and Seth Lipe, 8-6. Attia and Shane Lynette played in the No. 1 spot, but fell 8-6 to Matt O'Connor and Lucas Chmielewski, while Adams and McDermott fell 8-5 to David Zhang and Luke Williams in the No. 2 spot.
"Great improvement from last weekend's season opener. We played some very competitive doubles and just couldn't close down the stretch." Said Chau, "We're still working on gaining that confidence to go for our shots when the match is on the line. We'll continue to play with the doubles lineup to see if we can get some stronger combinations."
Attia took home the lone win in the singles matches in the No. 1 position, winning 5-7, 7-6, 10-5 over Chmielewski. Of Attia, Chau had to say, "Ramez played an outstanding match against a tough competitor and home crowd. I am proud of the way he dug in and really stayed focused throughout."
While there were no other wins among the singles matches, Chau was optimistic about the start. "In singles we had some battles. Some very close sets again that ultimately didn't go our way but we're figuring it out slowly. What works best and what doesn't for the very varied game styles that we have."
