Box Score FOREST GROVE, Ore. -- Kody Kennedy's free throw with three seconds left secured an 89-88 win for the Lewis & Clark Pioneers over the Pacific Boxers on Friday night.
After Brian Smith's lay-in gave him 29 points and the Pios an 88-84 lead with just over two minutes left, Lewis & Clark didn't score again until Kennedy's free throw in a nail-biting finish. There were 14 ties and 10 lead changes in the game.
Smith's 29 match his career high, one of five Pioneers in double figures. Matt Brown added 12 off the bench and a team-high four assists. Zeke Crawford had his ninth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. He added five blocks to move within one of the single-season record at Lewis & Clark.

Key Moments
Down 75-68 with 10:00 remaining in the second half, the Pioneers began their most dominant stretch of the game. Layups by Brown and Crawford plus two free throws by Kennedy brought the Pios back to within two in a 2:30 stretch. Smith tied the game on a lay-in with 6:33 left and then gave Lewis & Clark its first lead half-a-minute later.
The Pioneers (8-11, 4-6 NWC) briefly took a two-point lead a few minutes into the second half, but Pacific went right back ahead. The lead with 5:56 left was the Pios' first since that moment.
With 2:13 left, Smith made a 3-pointer, one of three for him in the game, and with 1:39 on the clock, Smith made a free throw for an 88-84 Lewis & Clark lead. Brown fouled out with 17 seconds remaining and put Colin Rardin at the free-throw line where he tied the game at 88 each.
Trying to block the shot with three seconds left, Andy Isokpehi fouled Kennedy and sent the senior to the line. After a timeout, Pacific's inbound was tipped by Crawford at the entry point, the clock started and the ball went out of bounds with 1.1 remaining. Rardin's next inbound attempt sailed over all of his teammates and out of bounds on the end line for a turnover. Crawford was fouled with .6 seconds left, but when his second free throw missed, time expired.
