TACOMA, Wash. - The Lewis & Clark women's tennis team continues to roll past its Northwest Conference opponents, this time defeating Pacific Lutheran 9-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Pioneers, who are now 3-0 in Northwest Conference play and 3-2 on the season, have yet to lose a set in conference action. The Lutes fall to 0-2 on the season.
Summer Garrison earned a 6-0, 6-2 win over Caroline Dreher in No. 1 singles, while Aurora Garrison took down Allison McClure 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 2 spot. Freshman Wiktoria Plawska defeated Samantha Lund 6-2, 6-0 as the Pios No. 3, while Claudia Lew beat Megan Beyers by the same scores in the No. 4 spot. Glenna Gee-Taylor picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win in the No. 5 position and Christine Eliazo won 6-4 in both her sets as the No. 6.
Incerpi and Eliazo paired up for an 8-2 win over Dreher and Lund as the Pios top doubles team. Plawska and A. Garrison had a battle on their hands in the No. 2 doubles spot, but the Pio pair found a way to pull out an 8-5 win over McClure and Beyers.
Lewis & Clark's most convincing doubles win came in the No. 3 position with Lew and S. Garrison blanking Emily Bower and Emily Beemsterboer 8-0.
