RESULTS

PORTLAND, Ore. - Michael Brewer picked up a victory at the No. 1 singles position on Saturday afternoon as the Lewis & Clark men's tennis team fell to #14 Whitman 8-1 in Northwest Conference action.  

Brewer battled through three sets against Colton Malesovas to earn his point. The freshman nearly pulled off a victory in the opening set, but fell 7-6 to his senior counterpart. Unfazed, Brewer took the final two sets in convincing fashion, winning 6-3, 6-4. 

Kevin Ross dropped both of his sets as the Pios No. 2 7-5, 7-5, while Daniel Hahm fell in the three spot 6-3, 6-2. Scott Monismith was unable to hold off Petar Jivkov in the No. 4 spot, falling 7-5, 6-1. Carter Gee-Taylor competed as the No. 5 singles player, falling 6-4, 7-5 and Cameron Smith dropped his sets 6-4, 6-2 in the six spot. 

Hahm and Morgan Joyce paired up in No. 1 doubles, falling 8-3 to Malesovas and Andrew La Cava. Ross and Brewer put up a fight in the No. 2 doubles spot but ultimately fell 8-6 to Andy Riggs and Jake Hoeger. Smith and Monismith rounded out the Pioneers doubles pairs, dropping their match 8-5. 

Lewis & Clark return to the court on Saturday, April 12 at Puget Sound.
