Baseball Drops Single Game to Corban, 7-0

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark baseball team lost to Corban 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Huston Sports Complex. The Pioneers fell to 0-7 on the season, while Corban improved to 9-3.

The Warriors took a 2-0 lead in the second inning off of a sacrifice fly and a double. They didn't score again until the fifth when they caught another single run, and then proceeded to score three more times in the sixth, two coming off a homerun by Williams. Corban scored once more in the seventh off another single by Williams to send a runner home.

Ryan Strombom takes the loss for the Pioneers, pitching just over four innings. Michael Kinkenon and Matthew Cathcart both had two hits for Lewis & Clark.

The Pioneers will next travel to George Fox on Saturday, March 2 for the first regular season Northwest Conference matchup, a doubleheader beginning at noon.
