PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark men's basketball team had six players finish in double digits in scoring on Saturday evening against Concordia (Ore.), including sophomore Kurt Parker who finished the night with a team-high 22 points. The Pioneers fell to the Cavaliers 103-94.

Lewis & Clark moves to 4-2 on the year, while Concordia improves to 7-1 with the victory.

The two teams battled back and forth throughout the first 12 minutes of the game, including several lead changes. With Concordia clinging to a 28-27 lead at 8:33 left in the first half, the Cavaliers score five unanswered points to take a 33-27 lead. Concordia would eventually pushed that margin to a 59-40 lead at halftime.

The Pioneers would get the deficit back to single digits in the second half. A layup by Parker at 6:49 cut the Cavalier to 87-78. Lewis & Clark then went on a 11-5 run to cut the lead to a little as three, 92-89.

Concordia would hold on for the win however, countering on an 11-5 run of their own to close out the game.

After Parker's team high 22, the Pioneers also received 15 points off the bench from Serg Ovchinnikov. All of Ovchinnikov's scoring came from downtown, as he was 5-11 from three-point range.

Jason Luhnow, Randall Jackson, and Connor Freeberg each contributed 12 points on the night. All of Luhnow's scoring was also on three-pointers, shooting 4-5 from long range. The Pioneers shot 12-26 from behind the arc on the night.

Justin Leathers was the final Lewis & Clark player with double figure scoring, finishing with 11. Leathers had six rebounds, second only to Freeberg's nine rebounds.

Ben Neves once again led the team in assists with 4. The Pioneers shot 49.3 percent from the field.

Lewis & Clark is now on a break for over two weeks, resuming their schedule on Dec. 18 against Multnomah University.
