Men's Tennis Slips to Puget Sound 5-4

RESULTS

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark men's tennis team slipped to the Puget Sound Loggers on Saturday in Northwest Conference action.

Freshman Olivier Groot earned a victory from the No. 1 singles spot, taking down Ben Miller 6-1, 6-3. Scott Monismith battled John Stevens to a three set victory in the No. 4 position, winning the first set 6-4, before falling 2-6 in the second. Monismith bounced back to win the third set 6-4.

Lucas Fodor earned a win in the No. 6 position, taking down Jake Peterson in the final two sets of his three set match. Peterson won 6-3 in the first set, but was downed by Fodor 6-4 in the second set and 6-1 in the third.

Groot and Quinn Roth-Carter earned the Pioneers only doubles win, defeating Miller and Michael Cutter 8-6.

The Pioneers return to the court on Sunday, April 1 at the L&C Tennis Dome.
