PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Lewis & Clark baseball team earned a 10-1 victory over Oberlin College on Thursday afternoon in game one of the two game Spring Break series. The Pioneers then picked up a 9-3 win over the Yeoman in game two of the double-header.

Freshman Kyle Tibbett earned the complete game victory for the Pioneers, the first of his career. Senior Michael Ball ended the game 3-for-4 from the plate and scoring twice. Freshmen Eric Hyun and Mike Kinkenon and seniors Parker Dane and Nick Lavin each finished the game 2-for-4 from the plate. Kinkenon led the team with four RBI's after hitting his first career grandslam, while Lavin picked up three.

Despite being out-hit in game two, the Pioneers still managed to pull out the victory with two four run innings. Lavin finished the game 2-for-2, walking once and scoring twice. Hayden Higger finished the game 2-for-3 with two RBI.

EJ Hand pitched the complete game victory for the Pioneers in the second game, picking up his first college win and first complete game.

The teams return to action on Saturday, March 31 at 12 p.m. against Whitman in Northwest Conference action.
