Men's Tennis Ends Weekend With 9-0 Loss to Whitman

RESULTS

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Lewis & Clark men's tennis team hosted the Whitman Missionaries on Sunday afternoon in a Northwest Conference match. The Missionaries defeated the Pioneers 9-0.

Freshman Olivier Groot put up a fight from the No. 1 singles postion taking his opponent, Conor Hilton-Burke, to three sets. Groot won the first set 6-3, before falling 6-4 and 6-2.

Groot and senior Quinn Roth-Carter had a solid showing in the No. 1 doubles position, taking on Andrew La Cava and Jeff Tolman. After a long back and forth, the Missionary duo won the match 8-5.

The Pioneers return to action on Friday, March 16 at 4 p.m. when they host the George Fox Bruins.
