PORTLAND, Ore. – Vincent Groot picked up
the Lewis & Clark men's tennis team's lone point against
Northwest Conference opponent Willamette on Sunday afternoon at the
L&C Tennis Dome. The Pioneers fell to the Bearcats 8-1.
Groot's point came in the No. 1 singles spot, with a 7-5.
7-6 [7-5] win over Cody Ferguson. Peter Ray nearly earned a point
at the No. 2 singles spot with a hard fought 4-6, 7-5 [7-5], 6-3
match with Andrew Murakami.
Men's tennis returns to the court on Friday, April 3 as they
head to Pacific for a 4 p.m. match.
