The Pioneer women's tennis team opened their NWC schedule with a
8-1 victory (results) on the road
at Puget Sound Friday afternoon.
The men played at home against Puget Sound, falling 6-3 (results).
For the women, Amalia Nilsson won 6-0, 6-0 at #1 singles.
Lisa Harunaga earned a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #2 singles. The Pioneers
swept the doubles matches, with their only loss coming at #5
singles.
For the men, George Allen earned a 6-2, 6-3 victory at #1
singles. Dirk Frouws earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory at #3 singles. The
two also paired for a 8-4 victory at #1 doubles.
The Pioneer women will play at Pacific Lutheran Saturday morning
while the men host PLU in the tennis dome at 10 am.
