Lewis & Clark College

Freshman Solomon McDaniel was one of two Pioneers to register five tackles and lead the defense while helping Lewis & Clark secure their largest margin of victory (50 points) over Wagon Wheel rival Willamette in the 74-game history between the schools. McDaniel had his first collegiate sack and a loss of seven yards on a 3rd and 10 play early in the second quarter to force a Bearcat punt. Halfway through the final quarter, McDaniel struck again, sacking Willamette’s backup quarterback for a loss of three yards and forcing a fumble on 3rd and 8. He finished with a team-high 2.5 tackles for loss in the game.
