Junior Noah Nelson broke his own program record in the 800 meters at the Portland Indoor #2 Meet last weekend. Nelson won the 800M in dramatic fashion, edging University of Portland's Nathan Short by .007 seconds with a time of 1:56.62. The photo finish was nearly three seconds faster than his previous school record. Nelson also helped the Pioneers claim victory in the 4x400M mixed relay, teaming with Malia Heien, Elsie Chin and Jordan Lahusky to defeat a Division I Portland squad with a time of 3:48.40.
