Seraphina Vossen finished 3-1 in the women’s tennis first weekend of Northwest Conference play. After a close 8-5 loss at No. 2 doubles with teammate Hayley Kreps on Saturday against George Fox, Vossen won her next three matches of the weekend. She won, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 3 singles against the Bruins to earn the first team point for the Pioneers in the dual. On Sunday, the junior helped the Pios earn a demanding 9-0 win over Willamette. Vossen and teammate Susanna Anand overpowered the Bearcats 8-0 at No. 1 doubles. Vossen then played the longest match of the day at No.3 singles. She emerged victorious 6-4, 7-5 after over two hours of play. Vossen has won three straight singles matches and is 3-1 at the No. 3 singles spot.
