Mikey Medlock Jr. scored his 1,000th career point in Saturday’s 88-62 Northwest Conference home opening win over Pacific. The senior intercepted a Boxer pass near mid-court and drove to the basket for a left-handed dunk with 2:57 remaining to reach the milestone. A transfer from Peninsula College, Medlock Jr. scored 596 points for the Pirates before adding 404 points in two seasons at Lewis & Clark. He is the 39th Pioneer to reach 1,000 points and the fourth consecutive player to achieve the milestone at home.
