Anthony Rethwill joined the Lewis & Clark coaching staff in the Fall of 2024. He will work with both the team’s hitters and fielders.

Rethwill comes to Lewis & Clark after many successful years coaching club and high school softball locally in the Northwest.

Before joining the Pioneers, Rethwill served as the Head Softball Coach of Mound Time 16A. Coaching 10U to 16U softball from 2019-2024. During that time, he compiled a record of 302-61-6 and led his teams to 52 Gold/Premier level championship games regionally and nationally.

In 2023, Rethwill served as the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Liberty High School in Hillsboro, OR. He led the Liberty to the OSAA 6A State Playoffs for the first time in school history, and earning OSAA 6A Academic All-State with a 3.77 team GPA, the 5th highest in 6A. He also set a school record with seven Pacific Conference All-League selections.

Prior to that, Rethwill coached in various capacities in the following organizations: Head Coach of Willow Creek Little League Softball, Varsity Softball Assistant Coach at Aloha High School, and President/Head Coach of Oregon Thunder. In his coaching career, Coach Rethwill has compiled an overall lifetime winning percentage of over .800 in club, travel, and high school softball.

Rethwill, most recently, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management from the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University in 2020. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Design from the School of Architecture and Allied Arts at the University of Oregon, earned in 2003.

A native Oregonian, Rethwill graduated from Westview High School in 1998, and currently resides in Hillsboro, Oregon with his wife, Rachael, and two daughters, Mason and Mia.
