Marcus Lattimore

A former NFL running back, Marcus Lattimore joined the Pioneers staff in the summer of 2020 and enters his second season in 2021. In addition to coaching running backs, Lattimore serves as a life coach.

Lattimore joined the South Carolina staff, his alma mater, in 2018 as the director of player development, a role in which he worked with student-athletes and the "Beyond Football" program, focusing on career development, mental health, financial literacy and life skills.

Prior, Lattimore was a member of the coaching staff at Heathwood Hall Episcopal in Columbia, S.C. where he was named the head coach in Nov. 2016. 

As a student-athlete, Lattimore was named Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year and All-SEC First Team in 2010. Over three seasons for the Gamecocks, he rushed for 2,677 yards. He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2013.
